Belgrade weather has been fantastic, so yesterday, I spent time walking around favorite parts of the city, mingling with locals and enjoying the sunshine. Belgrade is a busy, dynamic city, and with nice weather, everyone was out and about. I stopped at a café near a favorite city icon – St. Marks Church – to enjoy an espresso and bask in the shadow of a magnificent structure you just can’t stop looking at….

St. Mark’s Place Café – Beogradski izlet

Serbo-Byzantine architectural thrived during the Late Middle Ages. It was created by blending contemporary Byzantine architecture with Serbian Raskan influences, “characterized by using an inscribed cross form with one or five domes, often accompanied by a narthex on the west side“.
