Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, and The Noon Gun Cape Town South Africa

The Lion’s Head Walk is near my flat, and the views from the top are incredible! To reach the hiking trail you drive up Buitengracht Road to Kloof Nek Road towards Table Mountain.

The beginning of the hiking trail is at the top off of Signal Hill Road. There’s a lookout point at the end of Signal Hill Road and if you take the walk around noon, you’ll hear a bomb exploding. Every day (except Sunday) the South African Navy fires their Noon Gun from Signal Hill lookout point. It’s a short hike well worth it for the view. You could hike it every day and never get tired of the experience.
