Exceptionally popular Philharmonic concerts have been completely sold out during my stay in Kraków. Disappointed at not being able to hear the full orchestra perform at Philharmonic Hall, I booked a chamber music concert instead. The music was performed in Old Town at Saski Hotel. It was a small, cozy venue with an audience of about 75 people.

Soloist, Paweł Nyklewicz, is first oboist of the Krakow Philharmonic. The other talented musicians are instrumentalists with the orchestra:
- Joanna Konarzewska – Violin
- Jakub Żurek – Violin
- Błażej Michna – Viola
- Franciszek Pall – Cello
- Włodzimierz Gazdeczka – Double Bass
- Andrzej Zawisza – Harpsichord
Program
The program included:
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Divertimento in D major K. 136
- Antonio Lucio Vivaldi – Oboe concerto in A minor RV 461
- Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni – Adagio in G minor
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Eine kleine Nachtmusik K. 525

It was a very nice evening of flawlessly performed classical music. Later today, I’m headed for a tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The massive, deep mines have saline lakes, subterranean chambers, and even a chapel!
