Berlin TV Tower

Berlin TV Tower – Wombats Hostels

I waited months to visit Berlin TV Tower, because it sounded like a tourist trap. Finally decided it was worth a visit for the view alone. Indeed it’s a tourist trap, but I’m glad to have experienced the bird’s-eye perspective of Berlin from the top! The view is amazing even on a cloudy day with snow flurries. Wish I’d done it earlier in sunny weather – a great way to get a fix on the lay of the land.

I got a surprise to see Sydney tower mentioned in there. We kind of take it for granted I guess. Oddly enough, when I saw those first eye-views, my mind flew immediately to the bombers of WWII. The River Spree makes a handy navigational landmark.
