Yesterday I headed up the McKenzie Highway with a group of Obsidians to enjoy a hike in the Cascade Mountains Three Sisters Wilderness. We stopped at Cougar Reservoir on the way to the trailhead and hiked to Erma Bell, Williams, and Otter Lakes.
Our congenial group could not have asked for better hiking weather. The lakes were spectacular! We passed several meadows with wildflowers still in bloom. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to snap a photo of the entire group – there were 12 of us.
